

Chris was born in Seattle, Washington on February 16, 1980 to Craig and Diana Willemsen. When he was 6 years old his mom with his stepfather Jan Babendererde and sister Rachel moved to Germany where he attended German public school and learned to speak fluent German.
Chris attended Yelm High School and went on to attend Bellevue Community College. Later he joined the Army where he drove convoy trucks and excelled as a team leader. He was very proud to serve his country during the war in Iraq and took a lot from his experiences there.
Chris loved animals, especially dogs and always had nicknames for his fur buddies. He had a cat named Freya who was his cohort in crime and now creates havoc with his brother Devan. Chris loved board games, playing pool, video games and epic TV like Braveheart and Game of Thrones. He especially liked his job as a bartender at the pub and enjoyed the camaraderie with his patrons.
Chris was a friend to all and loved making people laugh. He was well known for his antics, enthusiastic thumbs up, and perfectly timed photobombs. He believed all people were ultimately good and deserved a chance and was always there to help someone out.
Chris is preceded in death by grandparents Wayne and Sheila Painter and John and Donna Willemsen. Also, his uncle Darren Painter who like Chris was quite the jokester.
He is survived by his mother Diana Painter and father Craig Willemsen as well as sister Rachel Hovis and brother Devan Babendererde. He also leaves behind many family members, aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.
Chris will be remembered as the guy who loved making you laugh.
