He was born to Robert and Patricia Schwarz in Centralia, Wash., on Dec. 30, 1940. Robert graduated from Chehalis High School in 1959. He attended Washington State University and graduated from Western Washington University. He served in the National Guard. He taught and coached football at Mt. Vernon High School and then returned to what he loved-the outdoors. He workd for Weyerhauser, Murray Pacific and was co-owner of Northwind Forest Consultants. He was a member of Twin City Rotary, Washington Contract Loggers Association, the Winlock Gun Club and a lifetime member of the Evergreen Gun Club.
Robert is survived by his wife, Phyllis, son, Michael (Megan) of Levittown, Pa. and daughter Robbi Stedman (Luke) of Tumwater, Wash. He had three grandchildren, Hailey and Cody Schwarz and Lane Stedman. And his dog, Nitscke.
A celebration of life is scheduled for August 13, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. at Sticklin Funeral Chapel with reception to follow.
