She was born on April 15, 1970 in Verbas, Albania to Fuat Malaj and Lumturi Mingomataj Malaj.
Anila loved to dance, swim, garden, and take long walks that would keep her surrounded by nature. Mostly, she loved spending time with her grandchildren. She taught her family what it meant to be not only loving and caring, but how to also be brave, determined, and strong. Anila was selfless and compassionate in nature. As a long time elementary school teacher, she would change the lives of all the students that came into her life.
She is survived by her daughters, Emanuela (John) and Inesa (Gersi); mother, Lumturi; grandchildren, Aeon and Alina; two brothers and three sisters.Anila was predeceased by her husband, Balil and father, Fuat.
A visitation for Anila will be held Monday, February 10, 2025 from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM at McEwen Funeral Service-Mint Hill Chapel, 7428 Matthews-Mint Hill Road, Mint Hill, NC 28227, followed by a celebration of life at 10:30 AM.
