Barbara Ann Wilburn

Barbara Ann (Foster) Wilburn, 57, of Mint Hill, North Carolina, died Sunday, April 8, 2012, at Carolinas Medical Center-Main. She was born in Columbus, GA on June 13 1954 and graduated from Kendrick High School in 1972. Barbara married William E. Wilburn on March 17, 1973. She worked as Executive Secretary at Central Piedmont Community College. Barbara was a member of PHI THETA KAPPA Honor Society and had a passion for singing, bird watching, and spending time with family.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by her mother, Carolyn Lockett; her children, William E. Wilburn, Jr. (Stephanie), Kristy M. Wilburn, and Kanita M. Wilburn; grandchildren, Amani C. Wilburn, William E. Wilburn, III; her sister, Beverly Randall; and brother, Christopher Lockett.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Thursday at McEwen Funeral Service, Mint Hill Chapel, 7428 Matthews Mint-Hill Road. Her funeral service will be held 2:00 p.m. Friday, April 13, in the funeral home chapel. Interment will follow in Sunset Memory Gardens.
