Coach...you taught us basketball fundamentals but also how to be successful men in life by Trusting God in all areas of life.

Coach Snyder was my friend and high school basket ball coach at Daniel Boone--Coach expected nothing but the best not just at game time but also at being the best person you could be off the court--I think of him often wearing his maroon blazer courtside during big home games with the gym full playing Science Hill,Happy Valley or Crockett.Its getting harder to find men like Coach Snyder because they are all in Heaven! My sweet friend, you always had a smile and a kind word and compliment for me, no matter how you were feeling you always wanted to make everyone around you feel special. One of the purists and kindest hearts I ever knew. Taking care of Coach never seemed like a job it was simply caring for a family member that you loved with all your heart! I was fortunate to be a student teacher for Coach Snyder in 1977.  What a wonderful person, coach, and friend.  Later I joined his Sunday school class at Oak Grove Baptist.  He studied so hard to teach his lessons and his kindness and patience was  always on exhibit.  When his wife became ill he was an amazing caretaker.  My deepest sympathies go out to his  family who he loved so much.

So sorry to hear of Coach Synder passing.I actually went to Sullivan Central and was member of the basketball team.Coach Synder was a great person.He was a icon at Daniel Boone.You all will be in my thoughts and prayers during this time



Coach Snyder was a really good guy who always wanted the best for Boone and every student he encountered. 

I was so very privileged to know and be known by Coach Snyder. He was a wonderful man whose greatest trait may have been humility. I aspire to attain more of that characteristic as was modeled by him on a daily basis. His deflection of praise onto those around him is sorely lacking in today’s self-absorbed society. May his legacy live on in the lives of others as we try to follow the example he so masterfully set during his interactions with those fortunate to have known him and competed against him. 

I was sitting and remembering my time, years ago, of fellowship and serving with Bobby as a fellow deacon at Oak Grove and thought I’d google him. I was taken back to see that he had only recently passed away. My only words are that June has been reunited with her loving husband and our loss is certainly heaven’s gain. Rest in peace my friend, you certainly deserve it!!


Bobby was my PE Teacher in Daniel Boone High School, he was a good friend of mine.Bobby will be missed by his Family, Friends and Students. I'm sorry to hear about Bobby but i know he is in Heaven.

I was very blessed to have gotten to know Coach as I called him.  He was a loving, caring, stubborn man that was set in his own ways. He was a challenge to be said but I was willing to take on that challenge. The quote he always said to me was I can't do it and I would always come back and tell him if one of your teammates said that what would you say?   Of course no response but the look on his face was priceless and enough was said and we worked it together. I will always remember him and love and miss him dearly. Until we meet again you enjoy that day of seeing your wife with open arms and enjoy the love and memories to come with her. I have been blessed as well to have known his family and have grown fond of.  My heart and prayers go out to all.

What a privilege to not only have known Coach Snyder and his family, but to have grown up along side them, and spent time as a family with their family on numerous occasions.  Coach Snyder was and is all that embodies a Christian man, a father, and a friend.  The world was a better place with him in it. 
He will never be forgotten.  Our prayers for comfort goes out to Bobby, Lance, Summar and their families. We love you all so very much!  I’m sure June was so happy to see him walk through that gate.  He is exactly where he has strived all his live to finally be!

There are a few people who come into your life that are really special and coach Bobby Snyder was such a person. In high school, I saw in coach Snyder fairness, kindness, dignity, and calm under pressure. These are attributes I try to have every day. A couple years ago, I saw Coach in a Lowes store and I felt very honored that this great man immediately remembered me after forty tears. My deepest condolences to Lance, Bobby, and Summer. Take your father with you every day and take care of yourselves.

My deepest sympathies to the family of Coach Bobby Snyder.   He was truly a genuinely kind person and an honorable man.

The time I would mostly see Coach Snyder was during homeroom and p.e.  He was my homeroom teacher I believe my freshman year.  In the times that I was around him he always treated his students with the utmost respect and compassion.

He and Coach Dale Jarrett always remained in my mind over the years as two  outstanding people. I had Coach Jarrett for homeroom at Boones Creek Middle School. Anytime he saw me he would ask how I was doing after I left BCMS.  He reminded me of Coach Snyder that way... always caring for his students.  He treated every student with that same level of caring and compassion.

My deepest condolences and respect go out to his family. I will keep you all in my thoughts, heart, and prayers.

Coach Snyder was more than a sports coach, he was a life coach. He led by example. He was never to busy if you needed to talk and his door was always open. Only heard him raise his voice when he caught you walking on the gym floor with your shoes on. 

Coach Snyder was soo much more than my basketball coach,  Sunday school teacher,  and friend.  He was like a parent to me.  I was raised by my grandparents and life wasn't easy as a kid, as I was own my own at 18YOA.  But,  he made it easy.  His kind words, strong belief in me made me more of a man.  I will never forget him. 
I spoke to him several times in this past couple of years.  He still was as kind and soft spoken as ever.  I love you Coach! See you on the other side. 

Our prayers and concern go out to the family. He was our PE teacher and a fine Basketball coach at Boones Creek High School for many years.
