Chris was born on November 12th, 1962 in Cincinnati, Ohio. He married Catharine (Olding) Garnett on June 1st, 1985. In 1995, Chris and Carrie moved to Charlotte, North Carolina where they raised their three children, Elizabeth, Christopher, and Benjamin. He was a loving grandfather to his grandchildren, Evelyn and Adeline.
He served in the Army as a member of the 82nd Airborne Division from 1983 to 1987. After graduating from the University of Cincinnati in 1990, he began his career in airport finance in Cincinnati. His employment with Newton & Associates brought him to Charlotte. He ended his career at Charlotte Douglas International Airport as the Airline Affairs Manager. He was a hardworking man who never knew a stranger. As an alumni, he loved to cheer for the Elder High School Panthers and the University of Cincinnati Bearcats.
Christopher was preceded in death by his father, Charles Bernard Garnett.
Chris is survived by his wife Catharine (Olding) Garnett, children, Elizabeth (Ryan) Coleman, Christopher (Allison) Garnett Jr., and Benjamin Garnett, two grandchildren, Evelyn Coleman and Adeline Coleman. He is also survived by his mother, Margaret (Schloemer Garnett) Flanigan, brothers, Gregory (Nancy) Garnett and Raymond (Shelia) Garnett, and numerous nieces and nephews.
