Irene graduated from Booneville School and lived in Charlotte for the rest of her life. She was married to Buford Tucker for 58 years before he passed in 2007. Whatever they did, they did it together. They were active members of Kilgo United Methodist Church in Charlotte, NC. Their faith was very important to them and they were blessed with a loving family. Irene worked for Charlotte Mecklenburg Schools for fifteen years. She was friendly and kind to everyone she met and will be greatly missed.
Irene is survived by her children, Susan Manning (Mark) and Eddie Tucker; her grandchildren, Julie Privette (Justin), Michael Lee (Amy), Mark Manning Jr., Bailey Tucker and Jenna Tucker; great-grandchildren, Zachary Privette, Kody Privette, Lynden Lee and Michael Lee Jr.; and many loving nieces and nephews.
A private family service will be held at Sharon Memorial Park.
