During WWII, he served as a Medic in the Army. He belonged to the Phalanx #31 Masonic Lodge.
Mr. Goode retired from The Equitable Life Assurance Company as Vice President of Tract Development.
Jack was a long-time member of St. Andrew’s Episcopal Church in Charlotte. He spent many years volunteering for the local Loaves & Fishes Charity.
He was a loving father and grandfather. He will be missed by many.
He is preceded in death by his loving wife of 52 years, Kathryn Nicol Goode.
He is survived by his daughter, Carole G. York (Larry); son, Michael G. Goode (Ann); three grandsons, Bryan M. York, Nicholas M. Goode and Noah T. Goode.
A memorial service will be held at two o’clock in the afternoon on Wednesday, the 6th of May, at McEwen Funeral Service-Mint Hill Chapel with a visitation held one hour prior to the service.
