

She was born on Sept. 14, 1958, in Lake Charles, LA, to the late Rollace Vernon Kinsey and the late Junell Kinsey Cunningham.
Janet was the owner/operator of a cleaning service in Charlotte.
She was a creative and talented woman. Her life centered around God and her family. She was a second Mom to many, always fashionable, and the life of the party. Mrs. Hodges was the “Best Nannie” ever!
Survivors include her three children, April Dawn Jones and husband, Reverend Benjamin Jones, and their children, Aaron and Hannah; Ashley Nicole Hodges and her son, Michael; and Amber Kaye Hodges, all of Charlotte; her sister, Linda Morehead and husband, Reverend R.J. Morehead, and their son, Sean, Ft. Smith, Arkansas; and her two brothers, Reverend Brian Kinsey, Pensacola, FL and Steven Kinsey and his son, Harlan, Bossier City, LA; and a host of other family and friends.
Her family will receive friends on Friday, May 27, 2011, from 6-8 pm at the McEwen Funeral Service-Mint Hill Chapel, 7428 Matthews-Mint Hill Road, Mint Hill, NC. Visitation will continue at the funeral home from 11am-12 Noon on Saturday, May 28, 2011, immediately followed by her funeral service at 12 Noon. The Reverend Benjamin Jones, the Reverend Brian Kinsey, and the Reverend R.J. Morehead will officiate. Interment will follow in the Gethsemane Cemetery and Memorial Gardens, Charlotte, NC.
Janet fought a good fight, kept the faith, finished her course, and received her crown. II Timothy 4: 7-8.
