

Jeffrey Alan Gore, 54, of Charlotte, North Carolina, passed away on February 8, 2026. He was born on May 1, 1971, in Oceanside, California, and grew up with a vibrant personality that would shape a lifetime of laughter, creativity, and love.
In his early years, Jeff traveled to the far corners of the world with his Navy family. He lived In Guam, Newport RI, Monterey and San Diego California, Naples, Italy before settling in Virginia Beach VA.
Jeff graduated from Kempsville High School and later attended the University of North Carolina at Greensboro (UNCG). Those who knew him best would describe him as Funny, Loving, Talented and hardworking—qualities he carried into every corner of his life.
Jeff’s passions were as wide ranging as his imagination. He loved working on classic cars and building computers with his son, and blasting classic rock music in the deck he built. Gaming with his brother was a cherished ritual, as was cooking, grilling, tackling construction projects, reading and spending time with family and friends. Jeff had a special place in his heart for rescue dogs, and his home was filled with the joy and companionship of his three beloved pups.
He will be remembered for his unforgettable storytelling, his comedic timing, and his gift for making people laugh until they cried. Jeff had a natural ability to entertain, to bring people together, and to make every gathering brighter. His love for his rescue dogs—Griffin, Luna, and Nacho—was a defining part of his life, and they remained faithfully by his side.
Jeff is survived by his devoted wife, Mary Gore, and his son, Matthew Gore, who shared his love of technology and creativity. He is also survived by his mother, Susan Gore; his father, Chuck Gore and stepmother Sandy; his brother, Jason Gore; his sister, Jennifer Priest, and her husband Ralph; and his nephews, Jake and Luke Priest. His four legged children—Griffin, Luna, and Nacho—will continue to carry his love forward.
The family will receive friends on Friday, February 13th, 2025 from 3:00pm to 5:00pm at McEwen Mint Hill Chapel 7428 Matthews Mint Hill Rd. Mint Hill, NC 28227.
