Jeffrey Scott Toler

Our beloved son, Jeffrey Scott, 44, passed away unexpectedly in a tragic automobile accident early Monday morning, July 28, 2025. He is survived by his parents, Dennis and Nancy, his sister, Elizabeth Toler Walker (Gary), his twin brother, Paul Toler (Kristin) and many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.

Jeff was born in Charlotte on June 13, 1981. He graduated from Independence High School in 1999, UNC Charlotte School of Engineering in 2004 and ultimately the LSU School of Dentistry in New Orleans where he graduated with honors in 2019. He began practicing dentistry in greater New Orleans and later became partners in a practice in Baton Rouge.

Jeff was very curious and creative. He was an avid reader but spent most of his free time perfecting his golf swing and putting stroke. He was planning a golf trip to St. Andrews, Scotland next summer with his father and twin brother to chase that ever-elusive hole-in-one.

Jeff enjoyed helping others and doing charitable work and supporting local causes. He had a huge heart and developed deep friendships throughout his life.

The family will receive guests from 3:30 – 5:00 on Friday, August 15, 2025 at The Gathering Place on Main at 4245 Main Street in Harrisburg, NC. A celebration of Jeff’s life will be held immediately after from 5:00 – 6:00 pm.

In lieu of flowers, the family invites you to honor Jeff’s memory by paying it forward with a gift to the LSU School of Dentistry’s outreach at Ozanam Inn, a homeless shelter where dental students provide compassionate care, or to a charity of your choice.

Jeff touched many, many lives and will be deeply missed by all who knew him and loved him.
