Jerome Stutts

Jerome Lamar Stutts was born on May 9th, 1972 in Charlotte, North Carolina. On Saturday February 24th, 2024 Jerome succumbed to his injuries after a motorcycle accident at the age of 51. He passed away doing what he loves, and may he ride on in our hearts.

Jerome is survived by his loving spouse Pipia Lacy Stutts of Lexington, SC, and their children Sean Lamar Stutts of Lexington, SC and Brittany Ann Lacy of Denver, CO. Born by and preceded in death by Jerry Lamar Stutts and Mary Hirst Berry, and father in law Ernest Renwood Lacy. Jerome is survived by his “Dad”, Robert Emmett Brown Jr., wife Linda Bromby Brown and his brother Floyd Griswold Berry.

He is also survived by his sister-in-law Kim Wilson (Scott) of Lexington, SC. Nephew, Corey of Avon, Co. and Niece, Clarke of James Island, SC. Brother-in-law Chris Lacy (Tiffany) of Lexington, SC and nephews Carter and Garrett of Anderson, SC. Mother-in-law Corey Ann Lacy of Lexington, SC.

When Jerome entered the room it wasn't just his boisterous voice that caught your attention, people gravitated towards him due to his leadership and charismatic charm. Jerome valued his friends and could spend weeks traveling across the country alongside them on his motorcycle journeys. He had a passion for music and storytelling, many hours were spent taking guitar lessons and discussing anything he found interesting. Jerome was happily married to his partner in life, Pipia. Pipia and Jerome were married on July 1st, 2005. Jerome and Pipia spent a lot of their time with their children Sean and Brittany watching James Bond Movies and Survivor. Jerome's love and loyalty touched the hearts of anyone who was lucky enough to meet him.

To honor Jerome’s memory, we are holding a visitation on Saturday March 2nd at 10:00am and a service following at 11:00am. This will take place at McEwen Funeral Service - Mint Hill Chapel. We ask attendees to come in your Harley Davidson attire to send Jerome off on one last ride. A celebration of life will be the following weekend in Lexington, SC.
