Mr. Gardner, a U.S. Army veteran, was the owner of Accurate Graphics in Norcross, GA, for 17 years and was previously employed with Rock Tenn. He was a member of Johns Creek Baptist Church, a member of the Georgian Club in Marietta, board member for Mercer University, and a Mason.
He is survived by his wife, Annie Faye Gardner of Alpharetta; sons, Barry Lee Gardner and his wife, Kim, of Petaluma, CA, and David Alan Gardner of Duluth; two grandchildren, Trevor Lee Gardner and Justine Layne Gardner; seven sisters; and several nieces and nephews.
His funeral service will begin at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, Nov. 4, 2011, at the McEwen Funeral Service-Mint Hill Chapel, 7428 Matthews-Mint Hill Rd., Mint Hill, NC, followed by interment at Sunset Memory Gardens, 8901 Lawyers Road, Mint Hill, NC. The Reverend Bobby Morrow will officiate.
