He leaves to cherish his memory, his loving wife of 57 years, Beverly Ann Landrum; three daughters, Terri Lynn Landrum of Richmond, KY, Tracy Haigler (Lee) of Charlotte, NC, and Kelly Marie Fisher of Chesterfield, SC; four grandchildren, Matthew Holder, Abagail Hickes, Ashley Kirk and Kyle Landrum; five great grandchildren; and brother James Owen Landrum of Lexington, KY.
He is preceded in death by a son, John B. Landrum, III of Arizona and his parents, Mildred and J.B. Landrum of Lexington, KY.
John was employed with IBM for 30 years as a procurement engineer. He was a member of Hickory Grove Baptist Church.
A funeral service will be held at eleven o’clock in the morning on Monday, the 15th of August, 2016 at Hickory Grove Baptist Church, 7200 E. WT Harris Blvd. Charlotte, NC 28215, with Reverend Clint Pressley officiating.
A visitation will be held one hour prior to the service.
Interment will follow in Sunset Memory Gardens in Mint Hill, NC.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be sent to Hickory Grove Baptist Church Missions.
