

Judy was born May 13, 1953 to the late Carl McNelius Cochrane and the late Pauline Williams Cochrane.
She was a life long member of Mount Harmony Baptist Church where she served as Sunday School Secretary for many years. Judy attended Blessed Assurance Adult Day Care Center which was an integral part of her life.
Judy’s smile was infectious and her hugs were legendary. Although challenged since birth, Judy learned the art of baking pound cakes and they were often requested by family and friends. She also learned to cross stitch using stamped designs.
Judy loved to travel and did she travel, from Key West, FL to Anchorage, Alaska, to Niagara Falls, NY to Santa Monica, CA and many places in between. Judy loved everyone and everyone loved Judy.
She is survived by sister and caregiver, Nell C. Henderson, sister, Rebecca Cabaniss, brothers, Ken Cochrane and Doug Cochrane (Nancy), sister-in-law Sara W. Cochrane and brother-in-law Larry Sharpe (Charlotte). She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Judy was preceded in death by her parents, sister Patsy C. Sharpe, brothers Ralph N. Cochrane and Paul O. Cochrane, sisters-in-law Evelyn D. Cochrane, Joyce M. Cochrane and brother-in-law Bobby Henderson. She is also preceded in death by nephews Joseph C. Cochrane and Michael Yandell.
Funeral services for Judy will be held on Thursday, December 23, 2021 at 10:00am at Mt. Harmony Baptist Church 2817 Mt. Harmony Church Rd Matthews, NC 28105. Burial will immediately follow in the cemetery, then family will receive friends following the interment.
