Kevin Douglas Dirk

Kevin Douglas Dirk, age 66, of Harrisburg, North Carolina passed away on Friday, March 22, 2024, surrounded by family after fighting a difficult battle with ALS. Kevin leaves behind a beautiful legacy. Survived by his wife, Yvonne (Colle) Dirk, children; Sydney (Tom) Capodicasa, Logan Dirk, Parker (Justin) Jackson, two grandchildren (Max, Ben), his brother and sisters.

He was a lifelong fan of Syracuse Athletics, supporting them his entire life. He loved traveling, skiing, boating, golfing, scuba diving and spending time with his children, grandchildren, family and friends. Kevin loved his wife Yvonne of 39 years and went through great lengths to make sure she knew she was a treasure.

A visitation for Kevin will be held Wednesday, March 27, 2024 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at McEwen Funeral Service-Mint Hill Chapel, 7428 Matthews-Mint Hill Road, Mint Hill, NC 28227. A memorial service will occur Thursday, March 28, 2024 at 2:00PM at McEwen Funeral Service-Mint Hill Chapel with a reception to follow.

In lieu of flowers, please make donations to Joe Martin ALS Foundation in Kevin’s honor. This organization provided support and care for Kevin and his family throughout his battle with ALS.
