Mrs. LaMarr G. Forbis, age 86, of Jefferson, South Carolina passed away Wednesday, July 31, 2013 at CMC Union.
She was born May 8, 1927 in Union County, North Carolina the daughter of the late Thomas L. Garland and Annie Sustare Garland.
LaMarr loved spending time in her garden, tending to her flowers and sewing. She was a devoted and loving wife and caretaker, mother, grandmother, sister and friend.
Surviving are her loving husband of 65 years, Shannon Forbis; four sons, Jim Forbis (Ann), Thomas L. Forbis, Ronald Lee Forbis (Judy), Kelly G. Forbis (Bonnie), five grandchildren, Jeremy, Michael, Katie, Sarah and Will; six great grandchildren; brother, John B. Garland (Nancy); and numerous nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held 11:00 AM Monday, August 5, 2013 at McEwen Mint Hill Chapel, 7428 Matthews Mint Hill Road, Mint Hill, NC 28227. Interment will follow in Forest Lawn East Cemetery in Matthews.
