

Larry D. Duncan, 67, of Mint Hill, NC, went to be with the Lord on August 25, 2012, at New Hanover Regional Medical Center in Wilmington, NC. He was a son of the late Theodore and Lucille Duncan. Larry was a loving husband, father and grandfather, and was affectionately referred to as ‘Paw-Paw’.
He is survived by his devoted wife of 44 years, Margaret Duncan; two daughters, Tammy Lynn Horton and her partner, Greg Price, and Tina Louise Mauldin and her husband, Scott; four grandchildren, Tee Horton, Spencer Price, and Madison and Samantha Mauldin; two brothers, James T. Duncan, and Donald E. Duncan and his wife, Judy; his sister, Joyce Wally and her husband, Mike; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Larry was a U.S. Army, Vietnam War veteran. He was employed with Exopack in Matthews, NC, where he has worked for many years. One of Larry’s greatest passions was to fish, especially with his grandchildren. He was a member of Arlington Baptist Church. Larry was an organ donor.
The family will receive friends from 11:30 to 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, August 29, at Arlington Baptist Church, with his funeral service to follow at 1:00 p.m. The Rev. Dr. Steve Gandy will officiate. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
