

A rosary service will be held at 6:00 p.m. Tuesday, May 11, 2010 at McEwen – Mint Hill Chapel with a visitation to follow until 8:00 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, May 12, 2010 at St. Luke Catholic Church of Mint Hill with The Reverend Paul Q. Gary, celebrant. Interment will follow at Sunset Memory Gardens.
Mary was born December 30, 1931 in Philadelphia, PA, a daughter of the late Michael George Manion and Mary Frances Fay Manion. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Robert W. Foster, son, Patrick Foster and her grandsons, Patrick Marshall, Joshua Foster, and Dalton Hunter. Mary, know to her friends as “Mother Mary” loved folk art painting, going to the beach with the Golden Girls, attending Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church in Monroe, and spending time with family and friends. She worked at PCA International until she retired in 2003. Mary was a wonderful mother, grandmother, and friend and she will truly be missed.
Survivors include her children, Terri Rothe (Bob) of Florida, Butch Foster (Carolyn) of Texas, Michael Foster (Susan) of Matthews, NC, and Vincent Foster (Susan) of Mint Hill; 10 grandchildren; six great grandchildren; brothers, Tommy Manion, Mickey Manion (Mary), and Gene Manion; sister, Patsy Manion; and by many loving nieces and nephews.
