Mildred Bernice Hill

Born November 22, 1927, in Rowan County, North Carolina, Mildred was the daughter of the late William Randall Hatoway and Louise Hatoway. She was a member of Hickory Grove Baptist Church. Her husband, J.C., preceded her in death in 2001.

She is survived by her two daughters, Diane Blalock and Carol Denise Hill, both of Mint Hill; two sons, James Douglas Hill of Charlotte, North Carolina and Blake Russell Hill of Lake Wylie, South Carolina; five grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; one sister, Marie Walkup of Florence, South Carolina; and one brother, David Hatoway of Milton, Florida.

Friends are cordially invited to a visitation with the family from 3:00 until 5:00 pm Sunday, October 28, at McEwen Funeral Service, Mint Hill Chapel, 7428 Matthews-Mint Hill Road in Mint Hill. A funeral service will be held 2:00 pm Monday in the funeral home chapel. Interment will follow in Sunset Memory Gardens.
