She was born on January 11, 1931 in Charlotte, NC to the late Adam and Mary Pope Davis.
Peggy was a strong Christian, a devoted mother and a friend to many. She loved her family and sacrificed a lot so that she could always put them first.
Mrs. Wilson is survived by her children, Judy Freeman (Jerry), Eddie Wilson, Dean Wilson, Reece Wilson (Becky), Bud Wilson and Mark Wilson (Heather); 12 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren and one great great grandson.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband of 52 years, Marvin Wilson; daughter Janice Merritt; and grandchildren Billy Wilson and Angie Kelly.
Funeral services will be held at eleven o’clock in the morning on Monday, the 20th of June, 2016 at Golden Acres Baptist Church, 15809 Lawyers Road, Matthews, NC 28104 with a visitation held one hour prior to the service.
Interment will follow in Evergreen Cemetery near Philadelphia Presbyterian Church.
