Rees W. "Bill" Stiles

Bill was born June 16, 1930, in Corning, New York. He and his wife, Jeanene Hope Stiles married on December 15, 1950. The Stiles Family moved to Charlotte, North Carolina in 1966. Bill proudly served his Country. He was a Korean War era Veteran who served honorably in the both U.S. Army and the U.S. Air Force.

Bill was preceded in death by his wife of 67 years, Jeanene Hope Stiles; and son, Roger Thomas Lynn Stiles.

Bill is survived by his sister, Selma Yanta of Trenton, New Jersey; son, Rees W. Stiles, Jr. of Cary, North Carolina; daughter, Tracie A. Stiles of Charlotte, North Carolina; son, Brian K. Stiles of Charlotte, North Carolina; and daughter-in-law, Kim Hobson Stiles of Mint Hill, North Carolina. He is also survived by nine grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 1:00 until 2:00 pm Friday, April 23, 2021, at McEwen Funeral Service, Mint Hill Chapel, 7428 Matthews-Mint Hill Road in Mint Hill, North Carolina, with a funeral service to follow at 2:00 pm in the funeral home chapel. A committal service with military honors will follow in Sunset Memory Gardens, 8901 Lawyers Road in Mint Hill, North Carolina.
