

He was born June 28, 1946 in Charlotte, NC to the late Arthur and Mary Blackwelder Blanchard.
Mr. Blanchard served in the Navy during the Vietnam War and was the Tractor King on the USS Hancock. He was a talented woodcraftsman and auto mechanic. His family will remember him as a strong, hard-working man who went above and beyond to care for them. He will be truly missed.
Ronnie is survived by his wife of 47 years, Linda Blanchard; daughters, Kathy Fowler (Jonathan), Mary Blanchard (fiancé Marcus) and Ronda Blanchard; grandchildren, Haleigh Fowler, Charlie Fowler, and Grayson Fowler; and his sister, Patricia Casselman.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by three brothers, Arthur, Donald and Johnny.
A visitation will be held on Friday, September 8, 2017 from 6:00pm until 9:00pm at Matthews United Methodist Church, 801 S. Trade Street, Matthews, NC 28105. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, September 9, 2017 at 10:00am in the church’s sanctuary. Burial will immediately follow at Sunset Memory Gardens in Mint Hill.
