A native of Charlotte, Rory was a 2005 graduate of Hickory Grove Christian School, and later graduated from NASCAR Technical Institute. He was a member of Hickory Grove Baptist Church.
He is survived by his parents, Larry and Lynda Nester; his brother, Jared Nester; his grandmother, Fran Nester of Harrisburg; his three uncles, Stan and Barry Nester, and Larry Boltz; and his aunt, Priscilla Shetler.
Friends are cordially invited to a visitation with the family from 7:00 until 8:00 p.m. Thursday evening, September 4, 2014, at McEwen Funeral Service, Mint Hill Chapel, 7428 Matthews-Mint Hill Road in Mint Hill. A graveside service will be held 9:00 a.m. Friday, September 5, 2014, at Sunset Memory Gardens. The Reverend Henry Ward will officiate.
