Dear Sandy and family,
We are never ready to let a loved one go, so we know how difficult Terry’s passing is even though you know exactly where and how he is. You can be assured that God’s grace is with you as you grieve his earthly presence. It’s certainly healing to cry, laugh and be sad. All your memories, God’s constant presence, and the love of friends and family will make your journey easier.

Dear Sandy,

We would like to express to you and your family our deepest sympathy in the loss of Terry.   He was a wonderful person.  We could see by his character that he was entrenched in the love of the Lord.  We were in Terry's Sunday School class where he taught us from his heart about Jesus. 

What a Godly man to get involved with many charitable activities.  We just recently learned that Terry was always serving the Lord in one way or another.

Our hearts hurt for you in this unexpected loss.  Congratulations on 58 years of marriage.  Not many couples can tout that.    Hope to see you in Sunday School when you are ready to return.

My heart is filled with sadness at  the loss of my one and only brother Terry. In life we shared a lot of happiness, We shared the love of the Lord, dancing, and having good conversations about many things. I cherish my memories of Terry and am sad that we didn't get to share one more Christmas together. God needed him more than I. My love will always be with him, my friend and brother.

Dear Sandy,

Our thoughts and prayers are with you  during this sad time, but as Christians we know where Terry is now - at the foot of Jesus' throne praising His name.   I imagine Terry is asking Jesus all the questions that he said he would.   Please know that Jean and I are Here if you should need us.

I would like to express the sympathy the entire members of the Love Class feel at Sandy's loss.  Sandy  just  started co-teaching with me but  covered  while I was tending to injuries of my husband.   Sandy often shared of things she was doing with her husband; stories of his history and salvation, various  activities they shared at Hickory Grove,  and their love for one another and the Lord was obvious.  The class is praying for you and your family Sandy.  We hold you  in high esteem  and share in your loss.  May our Savior cover you with His love and hold you close on your journey.

Terry was kind enough to teach my wife and me clogging this year. We looked forward to the classes. Sandy and everyone in the clogging group were kind to us. Terry led a Bible study via zoom and graciously invited us to attend also. We will miss getting together with Terry, Sandy, and the CMM Kickers, but we know Terry is dancing in heaven for Jesus now.

Terry was a great guy. I got to know him as we both volunteered at the Philadelphia Presbyterian Church Senior Lunch program.  I enjoyed his stories--and his clogging!              He will be missed and may he Rest In Peace.  

Dear Mrs. Zellers & Family,

I am one of the newest employee’s on the Senior Nutrition Team and feel truly blessed that I got the opportunity to work with Mr. Zellers.  He helped with a lot of my training at the Mint Hill site, and all I can say is, what an absolute joy he was!  Very knowledgeable, friendly, caring, upbeat, quick-witted, and quite funny too!!  I do pray during this time you’ll feel God’s presence right there beside you, while He continues to keep you in His tender loving care....

Terry was the leader and teacher of our clogging group, but he taught us so much more than clogging.   His love of the Lord shined in everything he did, and his desire for others to also know the Lord.   He made our class a place for laughter and learning, but also a place where we could share each other’s joys and concerns.   His warm smile and giving nature will always be in our hearts. 

Terry truly loved life and he loved people.   And of course above all else he loved The Lord.   His marriage with Sandy was an example for everyone.  We very often had prayer circles at clogging class.  But what was especially special is we had a prayer circle to begin our performances in front of the groups. What a  beautiful way to quietly witness. 
To quote Terry  “ on dancers”.

I was very saddened to hear of Terry's passing on Tuesday. Terry will be greatly missed by me and by many people within Senior Nutrition! Terry worked many hours as a volunteer for the Senior Nutrition Program Congregate Meals site located at Philadelphia Presbyterian Church helping in many different ways. He also worked as a Senior Aid there through the SCSEP program and as a Substitute Site Coordinator  for Senior Nutrition working at many different Congregate Meal Sites. Wherever he went, Terry brought smiles, laughter, and an amazing work ethic! He also taught an Inspirational Studies class at Philadelphia Presbyterian for seniors in the Nutrition Program every Friday. Terry had a strong faith and I have assurance that he is present with the Lord as I am writing this message. Terry also was a mentor for me on a business level and a personal level. He and I shared many deep conversations about our faith, work and family that really were very meaningful. I will miss his wisdom, kindness, caring, smiles and laughter! I know that many people in Senior Nutrition whether employees or clients will also miss him very much!

Sandy and family,   there are no words to express how much Terry meant to not only Roger and myself, but to our entire Sunday school class.  We loved him so much as I am sure all did who knew and worked with him.  We pray for strength and peace in the upcoming days ahead.
