Mr. Laufer, 66, of Charlotte, died Tuesday, November 2, 2010 at his home.
His family will receive friends from 2:00 until 4:00 P.M. and from 6:00 until 8:00 P.M. Thursday at McEwen Funeral Service, Mint Hill Chapel, 7428 Matthews-Mint Hill Road. His funeral service will be held 11:00 A.M. Friday in the funeral home chapel.
Born August 15, 1944 in Brooklyn, NY, Mr. Laufer was a son of the late Harry Laufer and Mabel Neylan Laufer. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy. Mr. Laufer retired from New York Telephone Company after 25 years of service. He was preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy Laufer, who died in July of this year.
He is survived by three children, Danny Laufer and wife, Jill, Julie Laufer and husband, Joseph, and Lorraine Laufer; and six grandchildren.
