Born in Detroit, Michigan, to Harry and Pat Flynn of Liverpool, England, Vicky spent her early years in Michigan before moving with her young family to Charlotte, North Carolina, where she made her home in 1993.
Vicky is survived by her devoted husband of 43 years, Michael Dacey; her two sons, Brendan and Ryan— her beloved daughter in-law, Tasha, and her sister Julie (Flynn) Kohler. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, neighbors, in-laws, and close friends whom she adored.
A lifelong dog lover, Vicky shared her life with four golden retrievers and is survived by her endlessly loved 11 year-old golden, Gracie.
Vicky graduated from Southern Ohio College and practiced as an Optician for 38 years, serving patients in both Detroit and Charlotte with kindness and dedication.
An accomplished athlete, Vicky played basketball and softball in high school and continued her love of softball in Charlotte church leagues. She loved games of all kinds and was an excellent golfer and championship dart player.
Above all, Vicky cherished time with family and friends—especially on much loved vacations to Pawleys Island, South Carolina.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Levine Cancer Institute at Atrium Health Cabarrus.
