Vince was a doting grandfather who enjoyed portraying Santa Claus in various malls during the holiday season. He was a generous man who enjoyed talking about history, baseball, and the news with any who would listen. He was a neighbor who enjoyed his cars, his trees, and his hobbies. But ultimately, he was a father who encouraged his children to embrace their children, to love them, and raise them in the admonition of the Lord.
Vince is preceded in death by his parents; his sisters, Kathleen Gibson and Deborah Holzer; and his son, Jeremie H. Koehler.
He is survived by his children, Edwin Koehler (Tamara) and Carrie Miller; his grandchildren, Jeremie A. Koehler, Caleb Koehler, Aliza Koehler, Jasmin Miller, and Peyton Miller; his brothers, Roger Koehler (Susan) and Rev. Karl Koehler (Kelly); and many other loving extended family members.
A Funeral Service will be held at 2:00 pm on Saturday, August 5, 2023 at McEwen Funeral Service - Mint Hill Chapel, 7428 Matthews-Mint Hill Road, Mint Hill, NC. A visitation will be held prior from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm. A graveside service will follow at Charlotte Memorial Gardens, 7632 Hood Road, Charlotte, NC.
