Wanda Attar

She was born December 19, 1959 in Charlotte, NC.

Wanda had a way of bringing out the best in people. Her loyalty and generosity was always evident, most of all during Christmas; her favorite holiday. Her thoughtful and intentional gifts were consistently the highlight of the day as was her excitement for always giving more than was expected. She loved her family passionately and often sacrificed her own desires to make others feel honored and valued. She loved making memories with her grandchildren as well as starting and continuing traditions. Many of the family’s favorite traditions began with her and will carry on in her memory. She made every day better.

Wanda is survived by her daughters, Brooke Greene and Sarah Lack (Joseph); grandchildren, D’Kali Arabu, Austen Lack and Baylor Lack; sister, Shari Geho (Jon); brother, Hoyle Wilson Greene, Jr. (Christy) and mother, Hazel Greene.

She is preceded in death by her father, Hoyle Wilson Greene.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 11:00am on Wednesday, October 25, 2017 at Hickory Grove Baptist Church, 7200 E. WT Harris Blvd., Charlotte, NC 28215 with visitation held one hour prior to the service.

The family requests that memorial contributions be sent to Hospice of Union County, 700 W. Roosevelt Blvd., Monroe, NC 28110.
