William Henry Brazzell Jr.

He was born on May 25, 1936, in Charlotte, NC to the late William and Gertude Brazzell and later relocated to Indian Trail.

Bowling and golfing were some of his favorite hobbies as well as camping and square dancing with his wife. He and Marie were long time members of Plaza Baptist Church where he also served as a deacon.

He enjoyed a long career as a salesman and the regional manager in the food industry where he forged many strong friendships.

Bill leaves behind his children; Pam (David) Rumph of Seneca, SC, Mike (Sue) Brazzell and Scott (Swooz) Brazzell. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife Marie Wikle Brazzell, his sister Mertis Brazzell Rhodes, his mother Gertrude Moore Brazzell and his father William Henry Brazzell, Sr.

Family will receive friends on Friday, February 20, 2026, from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at McEwen Funeral Service - Mint Hill Chapel, 7428 Matthews-Mint Hill Road, Mint Hill, NC 28227. Funeral services will follow at 11:00 AM in the chapel. Bill will be laid to rest at Forest Lawn East Cemetery, 3700 Forest Lawn Drive, Matthews, NC 28104, immediately following the service.

Family suggests in lieu of flowers a donation be made to either the American Heart Association, American Cancer Society, NAMI - National Alliance Of Mental Illness or an Animal Rescue of your choosing.
