Mr. Burch served in the U.S. Army and retired after 34 years from the U.S. Postal Service. At his death, he was a member of St. Luke Catholic Church in Mint Hill.
He is survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Jean T. Burch, two brothers, three sisters-in-law, one daughter-in-law, five grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
Mr. Burch had three children, two sisters and two brothers that predeceased him.
His family will receive friends from 12:00 to 1:00 p.m. Friday, October 17, at McEwen Funeral Service, Mint Hill Chapel, 7428 Matthews-Mint Hill Road in Mint Hill, with a funeral service to immediately follow at 1:00 p.m. in the funeral home chapel. Interment will follow in Evergreen City Cemetery in Charlotte. The family will also receive friends at the home following the burial.
Bill was a good man to all. He treasured his wife, his family and a multitude of friends.
