Tom was born on September 13, 1926, to the late Angus Martin Robinson and Capitola Capel Robinson. He attended Piedmont School in Charlotte, North Carolina. He retired from the United States Postal Service after 30 years and a Navy veteran.
He was a devoted member of Albemarle Presbyterian Church, as well as, the National Association of Letter Carriers and the VFW. He enjoyed gardening, music, and traveling. Tom always looked forward to the annual family vacation.
Tom will be remembered for his humbleness, his happiness, and the love he had for his family.
He is survived by his children, Pam Brown, Greg Robinson (Dolly), Allison Steiner (Tom), and Cory McWhite (Aimee); grandchildren, Jeff Brown (Karla), Stephen Brown, Graylyn Jennings (Zac), Marc Steiner (Randi), David Steiner (Jennie), Grady McWhite, Brittani Shelton (Alex), and Matthew Robinson; and great grandchildren, Dylan, Anabel, Cole, Carter, Maggie, Marley, Xander, Xaiden, and Kolbryn.
A Celebration of Tom's life will be held on Monday, January 6, 2025 at 1:30PM at Albemarle Road Presbyterian Church, 6740 Albemarle Rd, Charlotte, North Carolina 28212. The family will receive friends following the service.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that all memorial contributions be made in Tom's honor to Albemarle Road Presbyterian Church.
