Arthur Hudson

Arthur Hudson, age 86, of Ooltewah passed away Wednesday, October 26, 2011.

Preceded in death by his wife, Ruth Cagle Hudson; sister, Julia Lovell; two brothers, Henry “Buddy” Hudson and Lucius Hudson.

Survived by son, David (Lynn) Hudson, two daughters, Beth Berry and Deanne(Jim) Morgan; four grandchildren, Cindy (Chuck) Underwood, Bobby (Lesley) Morgan, Corey (Melora) Morgan and Jenny Lewis; six great grandchildren; brother, Lawrence G.(Pat) Hudson and several nieces and nephews.

He was an avid fisherman and golfer. He loved the outdoors and wildlife. He graduated from Ooltewah High School. Mr. Hudson was a veteran of World War II having served in the United States Army. He was a longtime member of Ooltewah Methodist Church and he retired from Sears.

The family would like to express their gratitude to Teresa Harris and Hospice of Chattanooga for their special care.

Funeral services will be held on Friday at 1 PM at the Valley View Chapel with Rev. Amy Nutt officiating. Interment will be in Ooltewah Cemetery. Active pallbearers will be Jim Morgan, Bobby Morgan, Corey Morgan, Chuck Underwood, Steve Wolfe and Bill Weatherford. The family will receive friends on Thursday from 4 PM to 8 PM at the funeral home and on Friday from 11 AM to 1 PM at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to Friends of Harrison Bay State Park at 6120 Shirley Pond Road, Harrison, Tennessee 37341.
