

He was a graduate of Ooltewah High School class of “64”. He loved his classmates and always stayed close to them and enjoyed attending their class reunions. He was an avid fisherman, hunter and street rodder.
Curtis was a veteran of the US Army having served in Korea and was of the Baptist faith.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Eugene “Gene” and Edna M. Fairbanks.
Survivors include his loving wife, Stella Fairbanks, of Soddy-Daisy, TN, son, Curtis Lee Fairbanks, Jr. (Stacey), of Chattanooga, TN, step-son, Monnie Whitfield (Michelle), of Hixson, TN, granddaughter, Willow Fairbanks, step-grandchildren, Brittany Watts, Cecilia Jones, Amber Worley, several step great-grandchildren, five brothers, Mark Fairbanks (Rosa Lee), of Cleveland, TN, Billy Joe “Shorty” Fairbanks (Mary), of Ooltewah, TN, Bobby Eugene Fairbanks (Voula), of Harrison, TN, Ricky Fairbanks (Brenda) of TX, Michael Fairbanks (Judy), of Franklin, TN, and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral Services will be held at 3:00 p.m., Sunday, January 15, 2023, in the Valley View Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home with Pastor Ricky Fairbanks officiating. A private family burial will be in the Chattanooga National Cemetery
The family will receive friends from 1:00 – 3:00 p.m., Sunday, January 15, 2023, at the funeral home.
