She was born in Johnson City, Tennessee on March 2, 1944, to the late Willard Freeman and Nell Lugos. She was preceded in death by two brothers.
Cynthia was a graduate of Notre Dame High School in Chattanooga and was of the Catholic faith. She was greatly loved by her family and touched the lives of all that knew her.
Survivors include her three sons, Michael Gardner, of Ashville, TN, Chris Gardner, David Gardner, both of Chattanooga, her longtime partner, Bill Hughes, of Chattanooga, and two grandchildren, Brian and Phoebe Gardner.
