She was born in Birmingham, Alabama to the late James E. and Thelma D. Levels. She grew up in Evansville, Indiana and later graduated from Lee University in Cleveland, Tennessee.
D. J. retired from Epic as a project manager. She was a gifted computer programmer and was instrumental in developing programs for hospitals throughout the United States. She was a talented musician and guitarist, having sung and performed for many weddings, funerals and other events. She was a member of the “Ladies of Lee” at Lee University.
She is survived by her sister and brother-in-law, Rebecca and Doug Womack, of Ooltewah, TN, two nieces, Candace and Karen Womack, and many cousins.
A private family memorial service will be held at a later date.
