She was born on October 15, 1923 to the late Albert and Rosina Scoffield. She was preceded in death by her husband, William E. Carpenter and sister, Gladys Mather.
Doris was a member of McDonald Road Seventh-day Adventist Church. She retired from McKee Foods Incorporated.
Survivors include her daughters, Lynn (Lester) Kenemore of Bryant, Alabama and Gayle Haberkam of Thailand, grandchildren, Russell (Hollie) Noth, Julie Alves and Bradley and Micah Haberkam, great- grandchildren, Jaden and Sabrina Alves and Hailey, Reagan and Josie Noth, niece, Laurel and nephews, Dale and Glen.
A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Monday, December 30, 2019 at the Garden Plaza of Greenbriar Cove, 4586 Forsythia Way, Ooltewah, TN 37363.
