Edwin “Earl” Morgan, Jr., 65, of Ooltewah, went home to be with the Lord on Monday, September 21, 2015. He was a lifelong resident of Hamilton County and was preceded in death by his mother, Sarah Katherine Morgan; father, Edwin Earl Morgan, Sr.; and brother, Brian Morgan.
Survivors include his wife, Marilyn P. Morgan; daughter Shanna L. (Richie) Rhodes and their daughters, Vanessa Rhodes and Allie Rhodes; son, Eddie (Karrie) Morgan; 12 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; three brothers, Tommy (Joey) Morgan, David (Katrina) Morgan and Bobby (Joyce) Morgan; two sisters, Shelia (Gary) Baker and Denice Smith; several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Friday in the Valley View Chapel with Pratt Hughes officiating. Interment will be in Lakewood Memory Gardens, East. The family will receive friends from 4-8 p.m. Thursday at the Valley View Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home, Crematory & Florist, 7414 Old Lee Highway.
