Gary Wayne Martin

He was a member of Tyner United Methodist Church and the Ralph Pennington Men’s Prayer Breakfast. Gary was retired from sales and loved to play golf in his younger days. He was known for his sense of humor and quick wit.

Gary was preceded in death by his father, James Martin.

Survivors include his loving wife, Betty Martin, sons, David, Steve and Chris (Sarah) Martin all of Chattanooga, Tennessee; stepsons, Chris (Carla) Sikes of Ringgold, Georgia and Patrick ( Nikki) Sikes of Chattanooga, Tennessee; mother, Lois Martin, sister, Peggy Kinkade both of Sherman Texas and several grandchildren, great- grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, January 24, 2018 at the Valley View Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home and 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, January 25, 2018 at Tyner United Methodist Church prior to the service.

A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, January 25, 2018 at Tyner United Methodist Church, 6805 Standifer Gap Road, Chattanooga, Tennessee, 37421.

Memorial Contributions may be made to the Tyner United Methodist Building Fund.
