Jerry Walter Britt

He was preceded in death by his loving girlfriend, Donna Lockhart, parents, Robert W. Britt, Sr., and Betty Walker, brother, Robert W. Britt, Jr., and sister, Marsha Jean Britt.

He was of the Baptist faith.

He learned to be a brick mason at a young age and worked in construction. He later became a roofer and a plumber and was employed with B & B Plumbing prior to his disability.

Sam was a hard working man and was loved by everyone that knew him. He will be dearly missed.

Survivors include his loving dog, “Little Man”, three sisters, Robbie Rounsaville, Darlene Cox, both of Ooltewah, Brenda Parker, of Soddy Daisy, nieces, Stacy Catchings, Larissa Grimes, Diane Mabe, Jennifer Edmonds, nephews, James Payne, II, Rodney Grimes, Steve Painter, Allen Morgan, Kelvin Morgan, Robert Britt, III, Shawn Britt Foote, Joshua Britt, aunts, uncles and several cousins.

Graveside services will be held 3:00 p.m., Tuesday at Ooltewah Cemetery with Rev. Bob Willerson and Joe Lewis officiating. Daniel Foote, Darrell Farrow, Matt Kiser, Mitchell Kiser, Shawn Harris and B. J. Harris will serve as pallbearers.

There will be no visitation at the funeral home.
