Jesse D. Humberd Jr.

He was the son of the late Jesse and Ruby Humberd and was preceded in death by his sister, Janice Cross.

Jesse was a retired major with the U. S. Air Force having worked as a Bio-Environmental Engineer. He was a veteran of the Vietnam War. He was a longtime member of the DAV and was also a member of the MOAA.

He was of the Baptist faith.

Survivors include his wife, Patricia Humberd, of Chattanooga, TN, three sons, Jesse Matthew “Matt”(Kim) Humberd, of Tullahoma, TN, Jerry Mark Humberd, of Chattanooga, TN, Joseph Gregory “Greg” (Linda) Humberd, of Hixson, TN, six grandchildren, Judith, Jesse, Joanna, Jamie, Jenna, Evan, brother, Jim Humberd, of Chattanooga, TN, sister, Janet Hood, of Hixson, TN and several nieces and nephews.

Graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Friday, October 23, 2015, at the Chattanooga National Cemetery with Chaplain Gene Taylor officiating. Full military rites will be conducted at the cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 5:00 – 8:00 p.m., on Thursday, October 22, 2015, at the funeral home.
