Kenneth Russell Cochran, 83, of Apison, TN, passed away Saturday, August 3, 2013 at his residence. A native of Cleveland, Ohio, he has been a resident of the Apison area for the past 61 years. He was a retired accountant having worked with several small businesses, but was always proud to be a farmer. He enjoyed square dancing and was a lifetime member of the “Yellow Rocks.” He was also the son of the late Russell L. and Ruby Keys Cochran. Survivors include his wife of 62 ½ years Jessie Presley Cochran; two daughters, Anita (Lloyd) Padgett and Rita (Randy) Powell; grandchildren, Sonya Smith, Kenny Powell, Amber (Will) Whitmire and Haley Padgett. In lieu of flowers the family request memorial contributions may be made the St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital at stjude.org or to Amedisys Hospice at 7205 Lee Highway, Suite A, Chattanooga, TN 37421. Graveside funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday at Plowman Cemetery with the Rev. Don Cross officiating.
