Mr. Dobbins joined Bayside Baptist Church April 20, 1975 and has been very active in the church since that time working in the outreach ministry.
Survivors include his wife Elizabeth Dobbins of fifty-five years, children Richard Dobbins, Tony (Karen) Dobbins, Cynthia (Lamarr) Black, Marilyn (Shawn) Presley, Betty Dobbins, Joshua Dobbins and Danielle Dobbins, thirteen grandchildren and one great grandchild, sisters Mary Headrick and Ann Corbin.
Funeral services will be Thursday March 24 at 12:00 noon in the Bayside Baptist Church with Rev Robert Stitts and Rev Grady Cooper officiating. Mr. Dobbins will lie in state at the church from 11- 12 Thursday. Interment will follow in the Chattanooga National Cemetery
