

She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 40 years, Robert B. Cotter; her parents: Fred Austin and Mary Flossie Davis; her brothers: Ovis Davis, William Davis, Paul Davis, Robert Davis, Carl Davis, Lynwood Davis; and her sisters: Sue Eaton, Awanda Smith and Sadia Forgey.
She is survived by her five children: Brenda Cotter, Debra (Marc) Davenport, Susan Maeder, Robert (Terri) Cotter, Christopher (Tammy) Cotter; her 8 grandchildren: Jodi (Anthony) Lytle, Kelli (Brian) Bales, Elizabeth (Ryan) Dupree, Christy (Joshua) Wright, Jericka (Matthew) Holcomb, Nicholas Davenport, Courtney (Trey) Smith, Dylan (Jessy) Cotter and 12 great-grandchildren.
Lenis was born on January 7, 1932, in Ooltewah, TN. She loved spending time with her family and was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. She was a graduate of Ooltewah High School class of 1950 and was a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution organization. Lenis was strong in her faith and a founding member of Mountain View Christian Church where she cherished time spent with many brothers and sisters in Christ. She enjoyed reading her Bible and leading her family to the Lord.
Interment will be at Chattanooga National Cemetery with a private family graveside service.
