Lillian J. Woody, 77, of Chattanooga, TN, went home to be with the Lord Tuesday, May 24, 2011. A lifelong resident of the Chattanooga area, she was also a lifelong member of the Bartlebaugh Baptist Church. She was retired from the State of Tennessee and was a 1953 graduate of Tyner HighSchool where she served as a Majorette. Lillian was the daughter of the late, Clyde and Myrtle Davis and was also preceded in death by her husband, J.C. Woody; grandson, Jeremy Henderson and a brother, Sonny Davis. She was a devoted mother, grandmother (Nan-Nan) and great-grandmother who was loved by all of her family and friends. One of her greatest joys in life was spending time with her family. Survivors include two daughters, Yvonne Ausbon, Chattanooga and Cindy (Randy) Richenberg, New Smyrna Beach, FL; three sons, Michael (Connie) Henderson, Ooltewah, Larry Henderson and Barry Henderson both of Chattanooga; two grandchildren, Nick Henderson and Joey Henderson; two great-grandchildren, Landon Henderson and Kailey Raymond. A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday in the funeral home chapel. The family will receive friends from 11 a.m. – 2 p.m. before the service on Saturday at the Valley View Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home, Crematory & Florist, 7414 Old Lee Highway.
