

She was the daughter of the late Arthur Columbus “Lum” Davis and Eddie Louise Conner Davis.
Born July 16, 1926 in Linden, Texas, she came to East Tennessee as a child and was a life-long resident of the Chattanooga area. She worked, along with her husband “Jay” Biggs, in the grocery and restaurant businesses.
Lois loved all creatures, especially cats and birds, and her green thumb was legendary. She had a powerful enthusiasm for life, an honest laugh and a twinkle in her eyes.
She was preceded in death by her husbands, John Clyde Biggs and Paul J. Stewart, sister, Ruby Durham, and grandson, John Clayton Biggs.
Survivors include her three children, Lonnie Biggs, of Dayton, OH., Linda Biggs Tate, of Ooltewah, TN., John Biggs, of Fort Payne, AL., seven grandchildren, Marty Biggs, Jay Carter (Pam) Biggs, Brendy Biggs, Jennifer Biggs, Sarah (Aaron)Elswick, Dennis Tate, Regina (Andy) Schwall, six great grandchildren, brother, Arthur C. (Margaret)Davis, Jr., of Flintstone, GA., sister, Nancy Schrader, of Jacksonville, Florida, and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Friday in the Valley View Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home with Pastor Gary Schimmer officiating. Interment will be in the Chattanooga National Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 5:00 – 8:00 p.m., Thursday and from 10:00 – 11:00 a.m., Friday at the funeral home.
