Here are some of Terre’s favorite pictures that she sent me over the years

Terre asked me to rescue Matilda in 2006ish Because Terri was afraid she would go thru a slaughter sale during a bad draught in that state.  And such began a friendship via text, we never met, but we’d catch up with yearly pictures.  Matilda is the mother of her 3 white and favorite horses.  We’ve exchanged a lot of pictures and stories over the years! Matilda passed away a few weeks ago, and I’ve been dreading how to share the news with Terre, and I stumbled on this obituary.  With sadness of hearing this news, I also picture Matilda running across a flowery field in heaven to find Terre!   Matilda was never trained to ride, but something tells me she and Terre and racing around heaven. Matilda was often my guide on how to pray for Terre.  Sometimes I would just get a feeling that what I was seeing with Matilda was a prompt of how to pray for Terre, And I’d reached out to her, and find that to be true - especially in the last decade, as Terre slowed down.  Sometimes God brings someone into your life in a different kind of way, and I felt a special connection with her.  They will both be missed, But now I can picture them Together.

Another bareback ride in the barn while Terre was sick and needed to lay down. I'm not sure if it was Sky or Paint. If it was Paint, it was the first time I got to ride him bareback as well. I was told I could ride him bareback, but I better not fall off or I wouldn't be allowed to ride him bareback again.

One of many text conversations with Terre. I loved her like family, and didn't get to see her in person anymore due to moving to a new state.

This was the day Terre made me ride my own horse on a trail ride and she tried to roll over on me in the pond. I got soaked from chest down and Terre couldn't stop laughing before she made me go back to the barn and clean her tack that got wet before it ruined. We both couldn't stand that mare, she was so rude.

I believe this was the first time I got to ride Sky bareback without Terre being out to supervise. She was feeling ill that day and needed to lay down, so she told me as long as the girl that was with me was around, I could ride whoever or however inside the barn.

Prayers for Terre's family.  We met her almost 2 years ago and became fast friends.  We had kept in touch with her on a regular basis during the first year of Kid's life.  She always loved to see his picture and hear of his latest adventure.  We are so thankful for her life and love for animals and for the gift she gave us when we bought Kid.  Rest in peace, friend!

I helped Terre with her horses and barn for a few months last year. I’m grateful she trusted me enough to help her and get to know her. Sending my love and condolences to her family. She is one to be remembered. 
May she rest in peace. 💕🙏🏽
