Antonio Y. Castillo, 78, of Chicago, born in the Philippines, passed away Sunday, July 11, 2021 in the comfort of his own home. He was the son of the late Bernardo S. Castillo Sr. and the late Leonora Yoro; beloved brother of the late George Y. Castillo (Betha Fe) Philippines, Maria C. Williams (Albert) of Chicago, Illinois, Carmelita Luz Castillo of Chicago, Illinois, Minda C. Sarmiento (Emmanuel) of Frisco, Texas, Bernardo Y. Castillo Jr. (Maria Luisa) of Chicago, Illinois; cherished uncle of John Williams (Kristy), Clarissa C. Panis (Gerardo), George GB Castillo (Loribelle), Glenda Jimenez (Michael), Angelica C. Reyna (Ramon Jr.), Emmanuel Castillo (Audrey), Justin Sarmiento, Bradley Sarmiento, Rachel C. Sarmiento (Julio) and Megan Castillo; adoring great uncle of Ryan Panis, GBoy, Ged, Sam, Alexa Castillo, Enzo and Bianca Jimenez, Angelo and Anton Reyna, Elijah, Elysee, and Ezekiel Castillo, Benny and Kono Angeles. Antonio’s education includes UP, Premed, College of Medicine; UST, Proper, College of Medicine; and Adamson University, Bachelor of Science in Chemistry. His professional career includes Biochemist, University of Illinois, College of Medicine (Retired) and as a Researcher, Cook County Hospital (Retired). Antonio’s Special Achievements are the following: Charter Officer, APO Midwest Chicago Alumni Association # 39, Charter Member, Adamson University Sigma, Chapter Life Member #1400, Batch Black Jack 21, 1963, APO Theta, APO VASRA.
