

Joseph William "Joey" Rokusek, 73, passed away peacefully on May 19, 2026. Born on June 27, 1952, in Chicago, Illinois, Joseph lived a life filled with love, passion, and dedication to his family and interests.
Joseph graduated from the University of Illinois at Chicago (UIC) and proudly served his country as a member of the United States Army. His service exemplified his commitment to duty and honor.
A man of many passions, Joseph found joy in reading, music, gardening, puzzles, and games. His love for classic rock was unmatched, and his extensive vinyl collection was a testament to his appreciation for the music. He also had a deep affection for animals and was an avid fan of the Chicago Cubs and Bears. Classic television shows like *Bonanza* and *The Rifleman* were staples in his home. Whether tending to his garden or building intricate models, Joseph's hands were always busy creating or nurturing something beautiful.
Joseph’s kindness and gentle nature left an indelible mark on all who knew him. He rarely raised his voice and approached life with a calm demeanor that brought comfort to those around him.
He is survived by his daughters Stacey Rokusek (and her partner Mark Weinert) and Jillian Allen (and her husband Scott Allen);
granddaughters Raelynn Allen and Madalyn Allen; former wife and close friend Linda Rokusek; sisters Mary Rokusek, Nancy Pogwizd (and her husband Gary Pogwizd), and Jane Langevin (and her husband Dan Langevin); and beloved aunt Laverne Stone. Joseph was predeceased by his parents Raymond and Elvira Rokusek.
Joseph’s memory will be cherished by those who knew him. May his legacy of kindness and love continue to inspire all who were fortunate enough to share in his life.
