Juanita Guajardo

Juanita Guajardo age 70 of Summit, IL passed away peacefully and surrounded by her loved ones on January 19th, 2023 after a long battle with Alzheimer’s. Juanita was born on July 12th, 1952 to Jesus D. Guajardo and Isabel Guajardo nee Rodriguez in Primera, TX. Third of eleven children. In 1970 Juanita married Martin P. Aguilar, Juanita and Martin went on to have five children. Martin Aguilar IV, Isabel (Carlos) Medina, Christopher Aguilar, Vanessa A. Aguilar, Alexander A. (Erica Hollis) Aguilar. She has eleven grandchildren and three great grandchildren all of who she consider her biggest blessings and greatest treasures. Juanita was predeceased by her parents Jesus D. and Isabel Guajardo. Her brothers Severiano, Alberto, Felix, Mario, Eugenio Guajardo. She is lovingly remembered by Angel and the late Erendida) Guajardo. Jesus Jr. (Nettie) Guajardo, Martin Guajardo, Auora Guajardo, Patricia Guajardo and many Nieces and Nephews. Juanita will be best remembered for her loving and caring way and her immensely giving heart. Her children and grandchildren were her treasures. She always looked after her entire family with great care and endless generosity. It cannot go without being said Juanita was a very dedicated hard working women her entire life. Working the fields of Texas and many other state from a very young age to the twenty plus years she worked at BorgWarner in Bellwood, IL were she received many awards recognizing her great work. While at BorgWarner she made lifelong friends that she cherished. Visitation for Juanita will be on Monday, January 23, 2023 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Ridge Funeral Home, (Edward A. Tylka, Manager), 6620 West Archer Ave, Chicago, IL 60638. Visitation will be on Tuesday, January 24, 2023 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM, at Ridge Funeral Home, 6620 West Archer Ave, Chicago, IL 60638.
